Welcome to the Nursery!
• Infants: Your baby is allowed to stay with you in the MOPS meeting until they reach 8 weeks. After eight weeks, we require babies to stay in the nursery.
The nursery has separate rooms for the various developmental stages of your baby to ensure a safe and stimulating environment (Sleepers, creepers, peepers (new walkers), and leapers (older walkers). All of the nursery rooms are equipped with cribs for sleeping babies.
• Mother's Milk Policy: Rolling Hills Covenant Church Nursery has the following Mother's Milk Policy: Because of our desire to keep the nursery a safe place for your baby, mother's milk is not accepted in the nursery, as of January 1, 1992. As always, mothers are welcome to nurse their babies in either the nursing room or any of the other nursery rooms at any time.
We are all aware of the fact that mother's milk is a ready transmitter of disease. Although the chances of any of our mothers having a serious disease is remote, we have elected to eliminate the possibility of any of our babies getting the wrong bottle by mistake and drinking milk not belonging to his/her mother.
• Illness: We have some special requests that will help make the MOPPETS morning enjoyable for all concerned. We appreciate your cooperation in seeing that your children are cared for in a healthy and safe environment. Our teachers reserve the right to refuse a child they feel is ill. If your child becomes ill while in our care, you will be notified. Please do not bring you child if he/she has:• A cold or symptoms of cold* (green/yellow or profuse runny nose, cough, sneezing)
• A fever (or has had one within the past 24 hours)
• Suspicious rash
• Flu symptoms (stomachache, headache, diarrhea, or vomiting)*Please inform the teacher if a child has a clear runny nose or cough due to a chronic condition (i.e. allergies, asthma, etc.) or has been on antibiotics for 2 days or more. These children may be admitted to class.• Questions or Concerns: Contact the MOPPETS Coordinator if you have any questions or concerns about the MOPPETS program. There isn't sufficient time on MOPS mornings to address some concerns in detail, so please call the MOPPETS Coordinator during the week.
